1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a community health and
1.3 wellness center in the city of Duluth.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; LAKE SUPERIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH AND
1.6WELLNESS CENTER.
1.7 $250,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.8of employment and economic development for a grant to Lake Superior Community Health
1.9Center to predesign and design a regional, multipurpose health and wellness center to be
1.10located in western Duluth to serve as a community center and resource hub for health and
1.11wellness programming and services. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the
1.12project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
1.13 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
