1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to workforce development; appropriating money to the Redemption Project
1.3 for workforce development services for adults leaving incarceration and
1.4 justice-impacted individuals.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. THE REDEMPTION PROJECT; APPROPRIATION.
1.7 $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.8the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant
1.9to the Redemption Project to provide employment and workforce readiness services to adults
1.10leaving incarceration and justice-impacted individuals with programming grounded in core
1.11correctional practices, mentoring, support services, and employment services.
