44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. [373.52] CONSTITUTIONAL INTEGRITY AND VALUES IN LAW​
66 1.6(CIVIL) ACT.​
77 1.7 (a) This section may be cited as the "Constitutional Integrity and Values in Law (CIVIL)​
88 1.8Act."​
99 1.9 (b) A county may, by resolution, designate itself to be a constitutional county. The chief​
1010 1.10clerical officer of the county must file the resolution with the secretary of state.​
1111 1.11 (c) A constitutional county may determine to not authorize or appropriate funds,​
1212 1.12employees, property, or other county resources for the purpose of enforcing any law, rule,​
1313 1.13or regulation that conflicts with the federal constitution or federal law.​
1414 1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
