44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 179A.07, subdivision 6, is amended to read:​
66 1.6 Subd. 6.Time off.A public employer must afford reasonable time off to elected officers​
77 1.7or appointed representatives of the exclusive representative to conduct the duties of the​
88 1.8exclusive representative and must, upon request, provide for leaves of absence to elected​
99 1.9or appointed officials of the exclusive representative, to elected or appointed officials of an​
1010 1.10affiliate of an exclusive representative, or to a full-time appointed official of an exclusive​
1111 1.11representative of teachers in another Minnesota school district. Time off provided under​
1212 1.12this subdivision must not be used to engage in any political activities.​
