| 5 | 5 | | 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: |

| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 Section 1. [168.1289] SNOWMOBILE SPECIAL PLATES. |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 1.7 Subdivision 1.Issuance of plates.The commissioner must issue snowmobile special |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 1.8license plates or a single motorcycle plate to an applicant who: |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1.9 (1) is a registered owner of a passenger automobile, noncommercial one-ton pickup |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10truck, motorcycle, or recreational vehicle; |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1.11 (2) pays special plate fees under section 168.12, subdivision 5, for each set of plates, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 1.12along with any other fees required by this chapter; |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 1.13 (3) pays the registration tax as required under section 168.013; |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 1.14 (4) pays the fees required under this chapter; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 1.15 (5) contributes $....... upon initial application and a minimum of $....... annually to the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 1.16snowmobile trails and enforcement account under section 84.83, subdivision 2; and |

| 17 | 17 | | 1.17 (6) complies with this chapter and rules governing registration of motor vehicles and |
