| 4 | 4 | | 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: |

| 5 | 5 | | 1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 123A.485, subdivision 2, is amended to read: |

| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 Subd. 2.Aid.(a) Consolidation transition aid is equal to $200 $424 times the number |

| 7 | 7 | | 1.7of resident pupil units in the newly created district in the year of consolidation and $100 |

| 8 | 8 | | 1.8$212 times the number of resident pupil units in the first year following the year of |

| 9 | 9 | | 1.9consolidation. The number of pupil units used to calculate aid in either year shall not exceed |

| 10 | 10 | | 1.101,000 for districts consolidating July 1, 1994, and 1,500 for districts consolidating July 1, |

| 12 | 12 | | 1.12 (b) If the total appropriation for consolidation transition aid for any fiscal year, plus any |

| 14 | 14 | | 1.14the full amount of aid earned, the department must first pay the districts in the first year |
