1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to human services; appropriating money for sexually exploited youth for
1.3 safe harbor shelter and housing.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; SEXUALLY EXPLOITED YOUTH AND YOUTH
1.6AT RISK OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION.
1.7 $11,125,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $11,125,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated
1.8from the general fund to the commissioner of human services for sexually exploited youth
1.9or youth at risk of sexual exploitation under Minnesota Statutes, section 256K.47. Of these
1.10amounts, at least $9,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $9,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 must
1.11be for sustaining and expanding street outreach, emergency shelter, regional navigators,
1.12and housing for sexually exploited youth or youth at risk of sexual exploitation.
