66 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
77 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 363A.03, subdivision 48, is amended to read:​
88 1.8 Subd. 48.Unfair discriminatory practice."Unfair discriminatory practice" means any​
99 1.9act described in sections 363A.08 to 363A.19 363A.195 and 363A.28, subdivision 10.​
1010 1.10 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
1111 1.11 Sec. 2. [363A.195] DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION PROHIBITED IN PROGRAMS​
1212 1.12RECEIVING STATE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.​
1313 1.13 (a) It is an unfair discriminatory practice for a program or activity receiving state financial​
1414 1.14assistance to exclude a qualified disabled person from participation in the program or activity,​
1515 1.15deny a qualified disabled person the full and equal enjoyment of any benefits, or otherwise​
1616 1.16discriminate against a qualified disabled person because of a disability.​
1717 1.17 (b) Each state agency that provides financial assistance to a program or activity shall​
1818 1.18ensure that the recipient of financial assistance complies with the requirements of this section​
1919 1.19and shall adopt rules as necessary to enforce compliance with this section.​
2020 1.20 (c) The provisions of this section shall remain in full force and effect regardless of any​
2121 1.21modification, repeal, or reduction in federal disability rights statutes, including but not​
