1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to agriculture; transferring money to the agricultural research, education,
1.3 extension, and technology transfer account.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. TRANSFER; AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH, EDUCATION,
1.6EXTENSION, AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER ACCOUNT.
1.7 $371,000 in fiscal year 2026 is transferred from the general fund to the agricultural
1.8research, education, extension, and technology transfer account under Minnesota Statutes,
1.9section 41A.14, subdivision 3, and the commissioner of agriculture shall transfer funds to
1.10the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota for purposes of research on crop
1.11contamination and exposure to prions deposited by animals infected with chronic wasting
1.12disease.
