1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 proposing an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution; adding a section to article 1.3 I; protecting the right of the people to keep and bear arms. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT PROPOSED. 1.6 An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution is proposed to the people. If the amendment 1.7is adopted, a section shall be added to article I, to read: 1.8 Sec. 18. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right 1.9of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. 1.10 Sec. 2. SUBMISSION TO VOTERS. 1.11 (a) The proposed amendment must be submitted to the people at the 2026 general election. 1.12The question submitted must be: 1.13 "Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to protect the right of the people to keep 1.14and bear arms? 1.15 Yes ...................
