44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; ONECOMMUNITY ALLIANCE.​
66 1.6 $600,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the workforce development fund to​
77 1.7the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to OneCommunity​
88 1.8Alliance to assist individuals seeking careers with local businesses in Central Minnesota​
99 1.9within the manufacturing, food production, agriculture, and health care sectors.​
1010 1.10OneCommunity Alliance, through the nonprofit's employment and economy action​
1111 1.11committee, must launch a program in 2025 to equip job seekers in central Minnesota with​
1212 1.12the knowledge and skills they need to successfully secure employment. OneCommunity​
1313 1.13Alliance shall provide the following services with the money appropriated: workforce​
1414 1.14training, career readiness training, job placement assistance, and ongoing support.​
1515 1.15OneCommunity Alliance must focus program participation to primarily unemployed and​
1616 1.16underemployed people, recent graduates struggling to find work, and those looking to​
1717 1.17transition into new career fields. This is a onetime appropriation.​
