1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a media training and
1.3 education facility in the city of St. Paul.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; BLCK PRESS CENTER FOR BROADCAST
1.6JOURNALISM.
1.7 $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.8of employment and economic development for a grant to Blck Press Center for Broadcast
1.9Journalism, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to acquire property and to predesign, design,
1.10construct, renovate, furnish, and equip a facility for media training and education in the city
1.11of St. Paul. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the project is completed or
1.12abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
1.13 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
