1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for mental health services 1.3 and outdoor activities for currently serving military personnel and veterans. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; HOMETOWN HERO OUTDOORS. 1.6 $250,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the 1.7arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration to provide a grant to 1.8Hometown Hero Outdoors, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Stillwater, Minnesota, 1.9to fund outdoor recreational activities and mental health services for currently serving 1.10military personnel and veterans to promote positive mental health and interactions with 1.11mental health service professionals; to promote longevity and quality of life through outdoor 1.12activities and mental health services, including public education; and to ensure the 1.13organization is able to continue supporting persons who are currently serving or have served 1.14in the military. 1Section 1.
