1.2 relating to economic development; appropriating money to the Department of
1.3 Employment and Economic Development for a grant to the city of Maplewood.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CITY OF MAPLEWOOD.
1.6 $....... in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
1.7employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Maplewood to develop,
1.8in cooperation with the new owner and HmongTown Connection, the former Sears
1.9department store site at the Maplewood Mall as a community and cultural marketplace.
1.10This is a onetime appropriation and is available until June 30, 2027.
