1.2 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money for People in Action.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; PEOPLE IN ACTION.
1.5 $700,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $700,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the
1.6arts and cultural heritage fund to the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Humanities Center
1.7for a grant to the nonprofit organization People in Action for statewide Somali-based
1.8collaborative programs for arts and cultural heritage. The funding must be used for arts
1.9education, workshops, mentor programs, community presentations, and engagement events
1.10throughout Minnesota.
