11 1.1 A bill for an act​
22 1.2 relating to liquor; authorizing the city of Hastings to issue a certain on-sale license​

44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. SPECIAL LIQUOR LICENSE; CITY OF HASTINGS.​
66 1.6 Notwithstanding any law, ordinance, charter provision, or term of any lease between​
77 1.7the city of Hastings and the state of Minnesota to the contrary, the city of Hastings may​
88 1.8issue an on-sale intoxicating liquor license as provided under Minnesota Statutes, section​
99 1.9340A.404, subdivision 1, paragraph (d), for sales of wine and malt liquor on the premises​
1010 1.10of a ballpark occupying land that is leased by the city from the state of Minnesota. A license​
1111 1.11issued under this section authorizes the license holder to make the sales allowed under​
1212 1.12Minnesota Statutes, section 340A.404, subdivision 1, paragraph (d), at all times provided​
1313 1.13by law for the on-sale of intoxicating liquor in the city. The state of Minnesota must not​
1414 1.14enforce any term of lease number I-6390, or any similar lease agreement between the city​
1515 1.15and the state restricting the use of state-owned property by the city, that is inconsistent with​
1616 1.16the authority granted to the city and the city's on-sale licensee under this section.​
1717 1.17 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective upon approval by the Hastings City​
1818 1.18Council and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021.​
