1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to consumer protection; prohibiting the sale of foods containing FD&C
1.3 Yellow No. 5 or 6 to schools; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
1.4 chapter 325F.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. [325F.079] PRODUCTS CONTAINING FD&C YELLOW NO. 5 OR 6.
1.7 (a) A person is prohibited from knowingly selling, offering to sell, distributing, or offering
1.8for use to a school, as defined in section 120A.22, subdivision 4, foods that contain FD&C
1.9Yellow No. 5 or 6.
1.10 (b) This section does not apply to home schools.
1.11 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective January 1, 2027.
