44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.​
66 1.6 (a) $200,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $200,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
77 1.7the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant​
88 1.8to HealthcareMN to support programs that improve healthcare innovation, entrepreneurship,​
99 1.9economic growth, and community impact. These are onetime appropriations.​
1010 1.10 (b) Grant proceeds must be used to:​
1111 1.11 (1) host a healthcare venture summit to connect entrepreneurs, investors, and industry​
1212 1.12leaders and foster collaboration and investment in healthcare innovation;​
1313 1.13 (2) expand regional outreach to position the Twin Cities metropolitan area as a leading​
1414 1.14hub for healthcare innovation and enhance resources and partnerships across the ecosystem;​
1515 1.15and​
1616 1.16 (3) establish mentorship programs connecting healthcare innovators with corporate​
1717 1.17leaders and successful entrepreneurs to accelerate growth and market impact.​
