44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER BASE BUILDING; DULUTH​
66 1.6AIRPORT AUTHORITY.​
77 1.7 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$14,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds​
88 1.8fund to the commissioner of transportation for a grant to the Duluth Airport Authority to​
99 1.9design, construct, furnish, and equip a new air traffic control tower base building to include​
1010 1.10office spaces, office support spaces, equipment rooms, workspaces, and logistic support​
1111 1.11spaces at the Duluth International Airport. This project includes site and associated site​
1212 1.12support area preparation, including demolition of obsolete buildings, construction and​
1313 1.13installation of utilities and stormwater retention system, and existing fuel tank replacement.​
1414 1.14A portion of this appropriation shall be used as a match to federal funding for the project.​
1515 1.15 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond​
1616 1.16proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of​
1717 1.17the state in an amount up to $14,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect​
1818 1.18prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota​
1919 1.19Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.​
2020 1.20 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
