5 | 5 | | 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CITY OF CARVER. |

6 | 6 | | 1.6 $3,350,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner |

7 | 7 | | 1.7of natural resources for a grant to the city of Carver for capital improvements to restore the |
---|
8 | 8 | | 1.8Carver levee, protecting an important historic district in Minnesota from floodwaters of the |
---|
9 | 9 | | 1.9Minnesota River. This levee restoration must meet the requirements of Federal Emergency |
---|
10 | 10 | | 1.10Management Agency (FEMA) certification. The project includes predesign, design, |
---|
11 | 11 | | 1.11engineering, land acquisition, and construction of capital improvements, including raising |
---|
12 | 12 | | 1.12the height of the Carver levee, constructing internal drainage, establishing maintainable |

13 | 13 | | 1.13setbacks to adjacent structures, and certification by FEMA. This appropriation is in addition |

14 | 14 | | 1.14to the appropriation in Laws 2023, chapter 72, article 1, section 7, subdivision 8, and for |
