33 1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
44 1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; STATE PARKS AND TRAILS.​
55 1.5 $25,802,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $26,920,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated​
66 1.6from the parks and trails fund to the commissioner of natural resources for state parks,​
77 1.7recreation areas, and trails to:​
88 1.8 (1) connect people to the outdoors;​
99 1.9 (2) acquire land and create opportunities;​
1010 1.10 (3) maintain existing holdings; and​
1111 1.11 (4) improve cooperation by coordinating with partners to implement the 25-year​
1212 1.12long-range parks and trails legacy plan.​
1313 1.13 Sec. 2. APPROPRIATION; REGIONAL PARKS AND TRAILS.​
1414 1.14 (a) $12,901,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $13,460,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated​
1515 1.15from the parks and trails fund to the commissioner of natural resources for grants for parks​
1616 1.16and trails of regional significance outside the seven-county metropolitan area under​
1717 1.17Minnesota Statutes, section 85.535. The grants awarded under this paragraph must be based​
1818 1.18on the lists of recommended projects submitted to the legislative committees under Minnesota​
1919 1.19Statutes, section 85.536, subdivision 10, from the Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and​

3939 2.10under Minnesota Statutes, section 85.536, including the continued development of a statewide​
