1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to agriculture; transferring money to the University of Minnesota for the
1.3 Forever Green Initiative.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. FOREVER GREEN INITIATIVE; TRANSFER.
1.6 $....... in fiscal year 2026 is transferred from the general fund to the agriculture research,
1.7education, extension, and technology transfer account under Minnesota Statutes, section
1.841A.14, subdivision 3, to fund the Forever Green Initiative and protect the state's natural
1.9resources while increasing the efficiency, profitability, and productivity of Minnesota farmers
1.10by incorporating perennial and winter-annual crops into existing agricultural practices. This
1.11is a onetime transfer.
