| 5 | 5 | | 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: |

| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 129D.045, is amended to read: |

| 7 | 7 | | 1.7 129D.045 REGIONAL ARTS COUNCILS. |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 1.8 A portion of each appropriation to the board shall be used for statewide distribution |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1.9through the regional arts council system. Except when otherwise provided by section |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10129D.175, these organizations shall work together to determine a formula for distributing |

| 11 | 11 | | 1.11the funds to the regions. The board serves as fiscal agent for distribution of the funds to |

| 12 | 12 | | 1.12each regional arts council. |

| 13 | 13 | | 1.13 Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 129D.17, subdivision 4, is amended to read: |

| 15 | 15 | | 1.15appropriations from the arts and cultural heritage fund in a fiscal biennium must be for |
