55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. COTTONWOOD; PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE.​
77 1.7 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$8,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund​
88 1.8to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of Cottonwood to design, construct,​
99 1.9and equip Phase 1 replacement of aging public infrastructure. This appropriation includes​
1010 1.10money for improvements, upgrades, and replacement of portions of the city's sanitary sewer​
1111 1.11system and drinking water distribution system; street reconstruction and replacement of​
1212 1.12curb, gutter, and sidewalks; and improvements necessary for connection to the Lincoln​
1313 1.13Pipestone Rural Water system for better municipal water quality.​
1414 1.14 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond​
1515 1.15proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of​
1616 1.16the state in an amount up to $8,000,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect​
1717 1.17prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota​
1818 1.18Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.​
1919 1.19 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
