55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. NEWPORT; WATER AND SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE.​
77 1.7 Subdivision 1.Appropriation.$5,162,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund​
88 1.8to the Public Facilities Authority for a grant to the city of Newport to acquire right-of-way​
99 1.9for and to predesign, design, and construct the removal, replacement, and installation of​
1010 1.10water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer system infrastructure, and reconstruction of affected​
1111 1.11streets in the project area. For the purposes of this section, "project area" means 3rd Avenue​
1212 1.12between 14th Street and 12th Street, 2nd Avenue between 15th Street and 11th Street, Cedar​
1313 1.13Lane between 15th Street and 2nd Avenue, and 12th Avenue west of 4th Avenue in the city​
1414 1.14of Newport.​
1515 1.15 Subd. 2.Bond sale.To provide the money appropriated in this section from the bond​
1616 1.16proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue bonds of​
1717 1.17the state in an amount up to $5,162,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect​
1818 1.18prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota​
1919 1.19Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.​
2020 1.20 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
