1.2 relating to education finance; appropriating money for P-TECH implementation
1.3 grants.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; P-TECH IMPLEMENTATION GRANTS.
1.6 Subdivision 1.Department of Education.The sums indicated in this section are
1.7appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education for the fiscal years
1.8designated.
1.9 Subd. 2.P-TECH implementation grants.(a) For P-TECH implementation grants
1.10under Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.093, subdivision 5:

2027.....1,628,0001.12 $
1.13 (b) Of the amount in paragraph (a), $500,000 in each year is for a grant to a public-private
1.14partnership that includes Independent School District No. 535, Rochester.
1.15 (c) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 16B.98, subdivision 14, the department
1.16may retain money from this appropriation for administrative costs under Minnesota Statutes,
1.17section 124D.093, subdivision 5.
1.18 (d) Any balance remaining in fiscal year 2026 is available in fiscal year 2027.
1.19 (e) The base for fiscal year 2028 and later is $2,625,000, of which at least $500,000 per
1.20year is for a support grant to a public-private partnership that includes Independent School
1.21District No. 535, Rochester.
