1.2 relating to energy; appropriating money for an anaerobic digestor energy system.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; ANAEROBIC DIGESTOR ENERGY SYSTEM.
1.5 (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 116C.779, subdivision 1, paragraph (j),
1.6$....... in fiscal year 2025 and $........ in fiscal year 2026 are appropriated from the renewable
1.7development account established in Minnesota Statutes, section 116C.779, subdivision 1,
1.8to the commissioner of commerce for a grant to Recycling and Energy, in partnership with
1.9Dem-Con HZI Bioenergy, LLC, to construct an anaerobic digestor energy system in
1.10Louisville Township.
1.11 (b) For the purposes of this section, "anaerobic digestor energy system" means a facility
1.12that uses diverted food and organic waste to create renewable natural gas and biochar.
1.13 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
