33 1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
44 1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; HIRED.​
55 1.5 $700,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $700,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
66 1.6workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development​
77 1.7for a grant to Hired to support their workforce development programming and services.​
88 1.8Grant proceeds may be used to expand their career pathway job training and placement​
99 1.9program that connects lower-skilled job seekers to entry-level and gateway jobs in​
1010 1.10high-growth sectors. Grant proceeds may also be used to create services for low-income​
1111 1.11Minnesotans designed to increase job retention and create a more stable workforce for​
1212 1.12employers by offering a continuum of employment coaching, navigation, and support​
1313 1.13services to economically disadvantaged employees. These are onetime appropriations.​
