55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. [144.063] DEMENTIA SERVICES PROGRAM ESTABLISHED.​
77 1.7 The commissioner of health shall establish the dementia services program to:​
88 1.8 (1) facilitate the coordination and support of:​
99 1.9 (i) state-funded policies and programs that relate to Alzheimer's disease or related forms​
1010 1.10of dementia;​
1111 1.11 (ii) outreach programs and services between state agencies, local public health​
1212 1.12departments, Tribal Nations, educational institutions, and community groups for the purpose​
1313 1.13of fostering public awareness and education regarding Alzheimer's disease and related forms​
1414 1.14of dementia; and​
1515 1.15 (iii) services and activities between groups that are interested in dementia research,​
1616 1.16programs, and services, including area agencies on aging, service providers, advocacy​
1717 1.17groups, legal services, emergency personnel, law enforcement, local public health​
1818 1.18departments, Tribal Nations, and state colleges and universities;​
1919 1.19 (2) facilitate the coordination, review, publication, and implementation of and updates​
2020 1.20to the Alzheimer's Disease State Plan;​
2121 1.21 (3) collect and analyze data related to the impact of Alzheimer's disease in Minnesota;​
