55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 124D.901, subdivision 4, is amended to read:​
77 1.7 Subd. 4.Allowed uses.(a) Aid under this section must be used to enhance student​
88 1.8support services, including but not limited to hiring or contracting for personnel as provided​
99 1.9under paragraphs (b) to (d) or paying the costs of necessary transportation, equipment,​
1010 1.10supplies, informational materials, communications, or personnel training.​
1111 1.11 (b) Aid under this section must may be used to hire new positions for student support​
1212 1.12services personnel or increase a current position that is less than 1.0 full-time equivalent to​
1313 1.13a greater number of service hours or make permanent a position hired using onetime resources​
1414 1.14awarded through the federal Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act, the federal​
1515 1.15Consolidated Appropriations Act, the federal Division M-Coronavirus Response and Relief​
1616 1.16Supplemental Appropriations Act, or the federal American Rescue Plan Act, or to maintain​
1717 1.17a position that would otherwise be eliminated.​
1818 1.18 (b) (c) Cooperative student support personnel aid must be transferred to the intermediate​
1919 1.19district or other cooperative unit of which the district is a member and may be used to hire​
2020 1.20new positions for student support services personnel or increase a current position that is​
2121 1.21less than 1.0 full-time equivalent to a greater number of service hours or make permanent​
2222 1.22a position hired using onetime resources awarded through the American Rescue Plan Act​
