44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA BLACK FARMERS ASSOCIATION.​
66 1.6 $1,363,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $1,363,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
77 1.7the arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for grants to the​
88 1.8Minnesota Black Farmers Association to preserve the cultural heritage of Black farmers in​
99 1.9Minnesota. The grants are to be used at Mahogany Farm in Mora, Frog Tree Farm in​
1010 1.10Verndale, and the 40 Acre Co-op in Sandstone to develop and build greenhouses to foster​
1111 1.11a new generation of culturally aware farmers, enhance understanding of sustainable farm​
1212 1.12practices, and serve as community hubs for cultural and educational programming. Grant​
1313 1.13money may also be used to make improvements to the farmhouse at Mahogany Farm.​
