44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. TRANSFER AND APPROPRIATION; HOMEOWNERSHIP​
66 1.6EDUCATION, COUNSELING, AND TRAINING PROGRAM.​
77 1.7 (a) $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are transferred​
88 1.8from the general fund to the housing development fund. This transfer is $2,000,000 in fiscal​
99 1.9year 2028 and each year thereafter.​
1010 1.10 (b) $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated​
1111 1.11from the housing development fund to the commissioner of the Housing Finance Agency​
1212 1.12for the homeownership education, counseling, and training program under Minnesota​
1313 1.13Statutes, section 462A.209. Of the amount appropriated for the homeownership education,​
1414 1.14counseling, and training program, ten percent in fiscal year 2026 and ten percent in fiscal​
1515 1.15year 2027 are for the Minnesota Homeownership Center to administer and monitor the​
1616 1.16program and to support the provision of culturally appropriate counseling and education​
1717 1.17services to those with limited English proficiency or limited access to technology.​
