| 7 | 7 | | 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 609.321, subdivision 14, is amended to read: |

| 8 | 8 | | 1.8 Subd. 14.Prior qualified human trafficking-related offense.A "prior qualified human |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1.9trafficking-related offense" means a previous conviction or delinquency adjudication within |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10the ten years from the discharge from probation or parole immediately preceding the current |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1.11offense for a violation of or an attempt to violate section 609.322, subdivision 1 (solicitation, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 1.12inducement, and promotion of prostitution; sex trafficking in the first degree); 609.322, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 1.13subdivision 1a (solicitation, inducement, and promotion of prostitution; sex trafficking in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 1.14the second degree); 609.282 (labor trafficking); or 609.283 (unlawful conduct with respect |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 1.15to documents in furtherance of labor or sex trafficking); or a statute from another state or |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 1.16the United States in conformity with any of these offenses. |

| 17 | 17 | | 1.17 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective August 1, 2025, and applies to crimes |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 1.18committed on or after that date. |
