| 6 | 6 | | 1.6 Section 1. STATE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OLD WILLIAMS SCHOOL |

| 7 | 7 | | 1.7PROPERTY. |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 1.8 (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, or any other law to the contrary, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1.9Lake of the Woods County is not responsible for managing the property known as the Old |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10Williams School site. The commissioner of natural resources, in consultation with the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1.11commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, is responsible for maintaining |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 1.12and using the property. |

| 13 | 13 | | 1.13 (b) By February 1, 2026, the commissioner of natural resources, in consultation with |

| 14 | 14 | | 1.14the commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, must submit a report to the |

| 15 | 15 | | 1.15chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with primary jurisdiction |
