1.3 health care initiatives in underserved areas.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA HEALTH EQUITY
1.6INITIATIVES.
1.7 $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated
1.8from the general fund to the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota to increase
1.9health equity by implementing and expanding health care services in underserved
1.10communities through the Community-University Health Care Center, Mobile Health
1.11Initiative, and One Health Clinic. This appropriation must be used to integrate curriculum
1.12and experiential learning focused on underserved communities into current health-related
1.13academic programs; facilitate more health science student clinical training placements in
1.14underserved communities; expand the Mobile Health Initiative; and pilot a One Health
1.15Clinic offering interprofessional, multidisciplinary health care that recognizes the
1.16interconnectedness of humans, animals, and the environment.
