1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to lobbying; prohibiting legislators from lobbying for two years after 1.3 leaving office; authorizing a civil penalty; proposing coding for new law in 1.4 Minnesota Statutes, chapter 10A. 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.6 Section 1. [10A.035] LOBBYING RESTRICTION. 1.7 A member of the legislature must not act as a lobbyist or register as a lobbyist for a 1.8period of two years following the end of the member's legislative service.
