                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to the legislature; requiring members of public safety policy and finance​
1.3 committees to participate in ride alongs with law enforcement or fire departments;​
1.4 requiring adoption of legislative rules; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota​
1.5 Statutes, chapter 3.​
1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.7 Section 1. [3.057] PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE MEMBERS.​
1.8 (a) A member of the legislature who serves on a legislative committee with jurisdiction​
1.9over public safety policy or finance must participate in a ride along with law enforcement​
1.10or a fire department for at least 12 hours each biennium.​
1.11 (b) The house of representatives and the senate must adopt rules to implement this​
1.12section.​
