77 1.7 (a) $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the​
88 1.8commissioner of children, youth, and families for a grant to Greater Minneapolis Council​
99 1.9of Churches to provide funding to food shelves enrolled in the Minnesota FoodShare​
1010 1.10program. The grant funds must be distributed to food shelves based on the Minnesota​
1111 1.11FoodShare program's distribution formula. This is a onetime appropriation.​
1212 1.12 (b) Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches must report on the number of food shelves​
1313 1.13receiving these grant funds, the amount distributed to each food shelf, and any amount used​
1414 1.14for administrative purposes to the commissioner of children, youth, and families by August​
1515 1.151, 2026.​
1616 1.16 (c) Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches may use up to five percent of the​
1717 1.17appropriation for administrative costs.​
