44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; FISHING WITH VETS.​
66 1.6 $25,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $25,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
77 1.7general fund to the commissioner of veterans affairs for a grant to Fishing with Vets, a​
88 1.8501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to organize and conduct guided fishing trips for veterans​
99 1.9across Minnesota. By January 15 each year, the commissioner of veterans affairs must report​
1010 1.10to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction​
1111 1.11over veterans regarding the uses of grant money, including any amount used for grant​
1212 1.12administration. The report must be filed with the Legislative Reference Library in compliance​
1313 1.13with Minnesota Statutes, section 3.195. As a condition of receiving the grant, Fishing with​
1414 1.14Vets must agree to provide the commissioner of veterans affairs any information needed to​
1515 1.15complete the report.​
