1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for capital improvements for
1.3 Lutheran Social Service in the city of St. Paul.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICE; ST. PAUL.
1.6 $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.7of employment and economic development for a grant to Lutheran Social Service of
1.8Minnesota to design, construct, renovate, and equip capital improvements to an existing
1.9service site at 709 University Avenue West in the city of St. Paul. This appropriation includes
1.10money for accessibility and modernization capital improvements, preservation and expansion
1.11of site-based transitional housing units for youth and parenting youth experiencing housing
1.12instability, expansion of a therapeutic preschool, and improvements to office space for
1.13employment services, financial counseling, housing services, and behavioral health services.
1.14This is a onetime appropriation and is available until the project is completed or abandoned,
1.15subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.
