1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to workforce development; appropriating money for youth job skills and 1.3 career development. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. MINNESOTA ALLIANCE OF BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS; 1.6APPROPRIATION. 1.7 $1,250,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $1,250,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from 1.8the workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic 1.9development for a grant to the Minnesota Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs to administer 1.10a statewide project of youth job skills and career development. This project, which may 1.11have career guidance components including health and life skills, must be designed to 1.12encourage, train, and assist youth in early access to education and job-seeking skills, 1.13work-based learning experience, including career pathways in STEM learning, career 1.14exploration and matching, and first job placement through local community partnerships 1.15and on-site job opportunities.
