                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to public safety; establishing the state fire marshal account; appropriating​
1.3 money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 299M.10.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 299M.10, is amended to read:​
1.6 299M.10 MONEY CREDITED TO GENERAL FUND.​
1.7 The fees and penalties collected under this chapter, except as provided in section​
1.8299M.07, must be deposited in the state treasury and credited to the general fund. Money​
1.9received by the State Fire Marshal Division in the form of gifts, grants, reimbursements, or​
1.10appropriation from any source for the administration of this chapter must also be deposited​
1.11in the state treasury and credited to the general fund. state fire marshal account, which is​
1.12established in the special revenue fund. Money in the state fire marshal account is annually​
1.13appropriated to the commissioner of public safety to administer the programs under this​
1.14chapter.​
