                            1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to corrections; appropriating money for The Redemption Project to assist​
1.3 justice-impacted individuals with programming to reduce incarceration and assist​
1.4 inmates to transition from incarceration to community.​
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.6 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; THE REDEMPTION PROJECT.​
1.7 $500,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
1.8general fund to the commissioner of corrections for a grant to The Redemption Project to​
1.9provide inmates and justice-impacted individuals with virtue-based education grounded in​
1.10core correctional practices, mentoring, support services, and employment services. This​
1.11amount is added to the base.​
1.12 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
