6 | 6 | | 1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 340A.404, subdivision 1, is amended to read: |

7 | 7 | | 1.7 Subdivision 1.Cities.(a) A city may issue an on-sale intoxicating liquor license to the |

8 | 8 | | 1.8following establishments located within its jurisdiction: |

9 | 9 | | 1.9 (1) hotels; |
---|
10 | 10 | | 1.10 (2) restaurants; |
---|
11 | 11 | | 1.11 (3) bowling centers; |
---|
12 | 12 | | 1.12 (4) clubs or congressionally chartered veterans organizations with the approval of the |

13 | 13 | | 1.13commissioner, provided that the organization has been in existence for at least three years |
---|
14 | 14 | | 1.14and liquor sales will only be to members and bona fide guests, except that a club may permit |
---|
15 | 15 | | 1.15the general public to participate in a wine tasting conducted at the club under section |
---|
16 | 16 | | 1.16340A.419; |

17 | 17 | | 1.17 (5) sports facilities, restaurants, clubs, or bars located on land owned or leased by the |

18 | 18 | | 1.18Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority; |

19 | 19 | | 1.19 (6) sports facilities located on land owned by the Metropolitan Sports Commission; |

20 | 20 | | 1.20 (7) exclusive liquor stores; and |

37 | 37 | | 2.8law, local ordinance, or charter provision. A license issued under this paragraph authorizes |

38 | 38 | | 2.9sales on all days of the week to persons attending events at the convention center. This |
---|
39 | 39 | | 2.10paragraph does not apply to convention centers located in the seven-county metropolitan |
---|
40 | 40 | | 2.11area. |
---|
41 | 41 | | 2.12 (d) A municipality may issue an on-sale wine license and an on-sale malt liquor license |
---|
42 | 42 | | 2.13to a person who is the owner of a summer collegiate league baseball team or baseball team |
---|
43 | 43 | | 2.14competing in a league established by the Minnesota Baseball Association, or to a person |
---|
44 | 44 | | 2.15holding a concessions or management contract with the owner, for beverage sales at a |
---|
45 | 45 | | 2.16ballpark or stadium located within the municipality for the purposes of summer collegiate |
---|
46 | 46 | | 2.17league baseball games, town ball games, and any other events at the ballpark or stadium, |
---|
47 | 47 | | 2.18notwithstanding any law, local ordinance, or charter provision. A license issued under this |
---|
48 | 48 | | 2.19paragraph authorizes sales on all days of the week to persons attending baseball games and |
---|
49 | 49 | | 2.20any other events at the ballpark or stadium. |
---|
50 | 50 | | 2.21 (e) A municipality may issue an on-sale malt liquor license to a resort as defined in |
---|
51 | 51 | | 2.22section 157.15, subdivision 11, notwithstanding any law, local ordinance, or charter provision. |
---|
52 | 52 | | 2.23A license issued under this paragraph authorizes sales on all days of the week to persons |
---|
53 | 53 | | 2.24staying at the resort and their guests. |
---|
54 | 54 | | 2.25 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment. |
