66 1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
77 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 645.071, is amended to read:​
88 1.8 645.071 STANDARD OF TIME.​
99 1.9 Every mention of, or reference to, any hour or time in any law is to be construed with​
1010 1.10reference to and in accordance with the standard time or advanced standard time provided​
1111 1.11by federal law. No department of the state government and no county, city or town shall​
1212 1.12employ any other time or adopt any ordinance or order providing for the use of any other​
1313 1.13time than the federal standard time or advanced standard time.​
1414 1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective upon the date and time that advanced​
1515 1.15standard time transitions to standard time in calendar year 2025 as provided by federal law,​
1616 1.16and expires on the date and time that the amendments made by Laws 2021, First Special​
1717 1.17Session chapter 12, article 2, section 20, take effect.​
