44 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
55 1.5 Section 1. MINNESOTA DIVERSIFIED INDUSTRIES; APPROPRIATION.​
66 1.6 $450,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $450,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
77 1.7workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development​
88 1.8for grants to Minnesota Diversified Industries to provide inclusive employment opportunities​
99 1.9and services for people with disabilities. This is a onetime appropriation.​
1010 1.10 Sec. 2. CAREER SKILLS PROGRAMMING; APPROPRIATION.​
1111 1.11 $250,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1212 1.12of employment and economic development for a grant to Minnesota Diversified Industries​
1313 1.13to assist individuals with disabilities through the unified work model by offering virtual,​
1414 1.14online, and in-person career skills classes augmented with virtual reality tools. Minnesota​
1515 1.15Diversified Industries shall submit a report on the number and demographics of individuals​
1616 1.16served, hours of career skills programming delivered, outreach to employers, and​
1717 1.17recommendations for future career skills delivery methods to the chairs and ranking minority​
1818 1.18members of the legislative committees with jurisdiction over labor and workforce​
1919 1.19development policy and finance by January 15, 2028. This is a onetime appropriation and​
2020 1.20is available until June 30, 2027.​
