1.2 relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to Rethos.
1.3BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; RETHOS.
1.5 $680,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $680,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the
1.6general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to
1.7Rethos, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for the following activities related to expanding
1.8the Main Street America - Minnesota program: outreach, engagement, training, education,
1.9reporting, program evaluation, and reducing financial barriers to program participation. Of
1.10this amount, $230,000 must be made available to participating local Main Street America
1.11organizations in the form of technical assistance grants, using criteria and processes
1.12developed by Rethos.
