| 5 | 5 | | 1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CONDEMNATION OF CERTAIN LAND IN CASS |

| 6 | 6 | | 1.6COUNTY. |

| 7 | 7 | | 1.7 (a) $250,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the ..... fund to the commissioner |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 1.8of natural resources to initiate condemnation proceedings of the lands described in paragraph |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1.9(d). The commissioner may use this appropriation for project costs, including but not limited |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1.10to valuation expenses, legal fees, closing costs, and transactional staff costs. This is a onetime |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 1.11appropriation and is available until spent. |

| 12 | 12 | | 1.12 (b) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45, 94.09 to 94.16, or any other |

| 14 | 14 | | 1.14commissioner of natural resources may convey the surplus land bordering public waters |

| 15 | 15 | | 1.15that is described in paragraph (d) to a federally recognized Indian Tribe for no consideration. |
