55 1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
66 1.6 Section 1. [62Q.59] COVERAGE FOR DENTAL PROCEDURES RESULTING​
77 1.7FROM CANCER TREATMENT.​
88 1.8 (a) All health plans, as defined in section 62Q.01, shall provide coverage for medically​
99 1.9necessary dental procedures that are the direct result of cancer treatment, including​
1010 1.10chemotherapy, biotherapy, and radiation therapy.​
1111 1.11 (b) The coverage required under this section shall include coverage for evaluations and​
1212 1.12examinations, laboratory assessments, medications, and treatments associated with the​
1313 1.13medically necessary dental procedures resulting from cancer treatment.​
1414 1.14 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment and​
1515 1.15applies to insurance contracts issued, renewed, or amended on or after that date.​
