1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATIONS; MINNESOTA GREEN IRON INITIATIVE.​
1.6 $9,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $9,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
1.7the general fund to the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota for the Natural​
1.8Resources Research Institute's Minnesota Green Iron Initiative to advance industrial​
1.9decarbonization using hydrogen, renewable energy resources, infrastructure, and strong​
1.10community engagement.​
